What happens when a bullet is fired into sky?

You might have seen people firing guns into sky (atleast in movies), right? A lot of questions might crawl into your mind. Like: Where do these bullets go after fired? Are these bullets lethal? etc...

Isaac Newton's words "What goes up must come down" is applicable in this scenrio. In the case of a bullet fired at a precisely vertical angle (which is extremely difficult for a human being to duplicate), the bullet would tumble, lose its spin, and fall at a much slower speed due to terminal velocity and is therefore rendered less than lethal on impact.

But,normally, when a bullet is fired upward, it will travel in a non vertical angle. After reaching maximum height, it will fall back to earth due to gravity and will attain speed that can be fatal. The bullet will land far away from the fired position, depending on wind, angle of projection etc. Because of this potentiality, firing a gun into the air is illegal in most states, and even in the states that it is legal, it is not recommended by the police.
